Temples are central to Latter-day Saint belief
Suggested Personal Progress Goals
The following are some of the Personal Progress Experiences and Projects that, with some effort, imagination and guidance from Parents and/or Young Women leaders can be accomplished during the preparation and performance of our Youth Temple Celebration.
Faith Value Experiences
#6 Increase your understanding of the plan of salvation. Explain the plan of salvation to your class, your family, or a friend. Then discuss with your parents or Young Women’s leader how your increased knowledge is preparation for receiving your endowment.
#8 With the help of your YW leader, design a requirement. (ie: demonstrate faith by teaching dance, music, and/or acting to your class; invite a friend to attend the open house)
Faith Value Project
Read the entire Book of Mormon. (by the time the temple is completed)
Divine Nature Value Experiences
#6 Develop your divine qualities as it relates to the temple.

Knowledge Value Experiences

#4 Study and better understand the history and blessings of the temple. Research and study the history and symbolism of temples. Read scriptures and the words of latter-day prophets that relate to temples. Prepare and give a five-minute talk on the subject.
#6 Memorize the thirteenth article of faith and ponder how it relates to the temple. Attend a performance that involves dance, music, speech, or drama (youth celebration) Write your thoughts in your journal, and share these thoughts with others.
#8 With the help of your YW leader, design a requirement.
Knowledge Value Project
Read an approved book about the temple (ie: House of the Lord, the Holy Temple, etc.)

Good Works Value Experiences
#4 Teach a lesson about a gospel subject in family home evening or another setting. (Temple and me, symbolism of the temple, your celebration, etc.)
#7 Spend at least three hours giving service outside your family. Take care of children while parents attend the temple. Record in your journal the reactions of the person(s) you served.
#8 With the help of your YW leader, design a requirement.
Good Works Value Project
Work with a family member to gather the names of some deceased relatives who were not members of the Church. Submit their names to the temple. Help plan a visit to the new Twin Falls Temple and do baptisms for those relatives.

#8 With the help of your YW leader, design a requirement.
Integrity Value Project
#4 Prepare to make temple covenants by making and wearing an item of clothing that conforms with standards of modest dress.
#5 Research the topics of moral cleanliness and chastity. Create an object that will remind you each day of your commitment to be morally clean and worthy to enter the temple.
Personal Note from a Stake Young Women Leader: This event could provide great opportunities to complete projects and value experiences. With the time saved by having Mutual already planned each week, more leader time could be spent encouraging and mentoring our young women in personal progress. The program teaches young women to “make commitments, carry them out, and report [our] progress” and I envision YW leaders checking that progress on a weekly basis, enroute to pageant practice!
